Last evening I rode the 134C from Scarborough Town Centre to Centennial College for the mayoral debate. Although I suspect that I was one of the few debate participants who came by transit, the bendy buses going the other way were loaded to the doors with students.
Last Tuesday September 23rd, members of Scarborough Transit Action and CodeRedTO attended a transit talk at Agincourt Collegiate Institute. Also in attendance were Scarborough MPPs Bas Balkissoon, Soo Wong, Minister of Transportation, Steven Del Duca and Ward 38 council candidate, Kevin Winson .

It often seems like there’s no shortage of complaints when it comes to the TTC: overcrowded trips, frequently dicey service, and ever-increasing fares. But at least most of us are able to afford a ride.

Omni TV news covered our rally where we gave MPP Glen Murray an award for failing to properly fund the TTC. We gave the award to the Liberal Government because they have failed to give fair funding to the TTC even though they have had the power to do so. This video shows the visuals!
About 100 protestors, some of them dressed as sardines, rode the subway from Queen’s Park to Transportation Minister Glen Murray’s Parliament Street constituency office Friday to present him with TTCriders’ first annual Sardine Award.
On March 28, a group of advocates dressed as sardines literally laid the blame for Toronto’s transit dysfunction on the doorstep of Ontario’s transportation minister Glen Murray, awarding him the inaugural TTC Sardine Award for failing to “fix public transit.”
