Candidates' Transit Pledge

See which City Councillor candidates signed our Transit Pledge, making their commitment to push for more reliable, affordable, accessible, frequent, fast, and safe public transit if elected.

If you are a candidate and wish to be added to this page, email us at [email protected] to sign the pledge.

All candidates listed below have made the following pledge.

pledge to champion a TTC that is affordable, reliable, accessible and publicly owned.

I will work to keep transit affordable for riders, support transit priority measures like dedicated lanes and advocate for increased investment in service so that transit is faster, more frequent and more reliable.

I commit to pursuing sustainable funding for the TTC by advocating for stable, ongoing operating funding from the provincial and federal governments.

Finally, I will work to protect the TTC as a public service that is accessible to everyone, that is safe and inclusive of everyone and to defend Toronto’s authority to make its own transit decisions in the best interest of riders.
