Some of our recent accomplishments:
- Convinced the City to replace the expensive monthly pass with a cap on fares after 47 (and eventually 40!) rides.
- Won $70 million in the city budget for a dedicated busway in the Scarborough RT corridor, opening September 30, 2026.
- Convinced City Council to speed up implementation of RapidTO bus lanes, getting lanes on Dufferin, Bathurst and Eglinton East, dramatically improving travel times.
- Convinced the TTC to install bus lanes to speed up shuttle buses after the Scarborough RT closed.
- Initiated a national coalition of transit supporters that convinced the federal and provincial governments to provide emergency transit funding during the pandemic.
- Convinced City Council to make the King Street Pilot permanent.
- Convinced City Council to approve a low-income transit discount in 2016 and a 2-hour transfer window in 2018.
- Continued to be Toronto media’s go-to transit organization (our spokespeople have appeared on The Agenda, CP24, CBC National and more).
- Convinced City Council to install Toronto's first red bus lane on Eglinton East, Kingston, and Morningside.
