Know Your Wheel-Trans Rights
This workshop is part of TTCriders’ Know Your Transit Rights project, which aims to empower riders and help them understand their legal rights while using the TTC. Workshops on specific TTC services and programs:
Wheel-Trans 101: Navigating Wheel-Trans and Family of Services
This workshop is designed for those who are new to using Wheel-Trans and have questions about their eligibility and the application process, what the Family of Services model is, how to challenge their eligibility category, and other Wheel-Trans issues. The workshop goes in-depth on how to apply for Wheel-Trans and how to appeal conditional eligibility, with the goal of empowering participants and making overly complex, bureaucratic procedures feel more approachable.

This workshop provides an introduction to the TTC’s Fair Pass program, a transit discount for low-income riders. The workshop covers program eligibility and how to apply, ending with some tips on how to advocate for better, more affordable transit for all. This workshop can include one-on-one support for participants to discuss their eligibility and help with filling out application forms.

Public transit advocacy trainings:
How to Organize for Better Transit
This workshop covers the basics of how decisions about transit get made on the federal, provincial, and municipal levels and goes in-depth on how riders can take action for better transit. It also provides an overview of TTCriders' current campaigns around, for example, dedicated bus lanes, signal priority, and better wayfinding.
Length: 1 hour
We also offer workshops and trainings specific to the campaigns that we run. Check out our newsletter and social media for more information and announcements on when these workshops will occur.
