TTC advocacy group launches #grumpyrider social media campaign

TORONTO – Are you tired of bad transit service in Toronto? If so, why not snap a “grumpy” selfie, send it to Kathleen Wynne, John Tory, and City Hall and demand better service?

That’s exactly what a transit advocacy group is encouraging commuters to do when they encounter delays and poor service from the Toronto Transit Commission.

“We want our elected officials to truly understand the collective frustration we feel when we face overcrowding, delays, breakdowns, long wait times, and more,” said TTCriders executive director Jessica Bell in a media release.

The group wants transit users to send their selfies through social media by using the hashtag #grumpyrider or emailed to [email protected].
