TTCriders In the Media

Thank you to everyone who joined us today for a Sardine Ride to Queen's Park! We had lots of fun despite the rainy weather.

Dozens of us traveled on the TTC from City Hall to Queen's Park, where we held a rally of more than 100 people. Thanks to our speakers from the Fair Fare Coalition, Amalgamated Transit Union - Canada, Scarborough Transit Action, Jane Finch Action Against Poverty, and the Toronto Chinese Seniors' Association!

Riders need relief

On Thursday, January 18, we launched our “Overcrowding Relief Kits” to commuters on the Yonge line.

We handed out breath mints, transit-themed crossword puzzles, and step-by-step instructions on how to relieve overcrowding (hint: it involves calling John Tory and Kathleen Wynne to fund the Relief Line and better TTC service!).

City Council is moving at breakneck speed to freeze government spending in 2018.  This will mean Toronto’s 1.8 million transit riders will be paying more for worse service next year.  Again.  The recommendation to freeze the TTC’s budget for 2018 will go to a full City Council vote on Wednesday May 24.
