The Metro's Luke Simco wrote an article on the possibility of continuing early TTC service on Sundays. The TTC is open at 6.00am on Sunday during the PAN AM Games. We are supportive of this idea.

The Scarborough Subway Extension Project has completed phase two and the City wants to know which alignment we prefer: Midland, McCowan or Bellamy?
The Toronto Star wrote an article about our study on the low ridership levels on the UP Express.
Marco, Shaun, and I (Jess) went up to Pearson Airport and counted ridership levels to verify Metrolinx's official ridership statistics. We found the trains were practically empty.

TUESDAY, JULY 7 at 10 am: URGE TORONTO CITY COUNCIL TO FIGHT POVERTY!
More than 150 people came to Toronto City Hall on June 30 demanding action on Poverty.
It worked.
Mayor John Tory and Executive Committee unanimously adopted an Interim Poverty Reduction Strategy that includes 74 actions to improve access to transit, jobs, income, housing, and child care.
Herman Rosenfeld and myself - that be Jessica Bell - went down to City Hall and responded to the City's anti-poverty strategy, which went to the executive committee meeting on June 30. The purpose of the anti-poverty strategy is to tackle inequality in our city and make it a fairer place to live. Now the anti-poverty strategy goes to City Hall for a vote on July 7.
This July, Toronto will host a Pan American Climate Summit and an Economic Summit, where corporate leaders from across the Americas will gather to advance an economic austerity agenda that is increasing inequality and killing
What an incredible evening it was at the TTCriders' Annual General Meeting at the Steelworker's Hall in Toronto. Over one hundred people gathered not only to hear journalist and activist Naomi Klein speak about the importance of transit in Toronto and how to get involved and be a great transit advocate.
Mike Adler of Inside Toronto, covered the public meeting in Scarborough discussing the alignment for the Scarborough Subway. The City is asking residents to choose between Midland, McCowan or Bellamy.
