That’s why the next few months are really important. The TTC Board is debating a new fare plan in February 2022 (originally scheduled for Nov 17th, 2021) and it needs to be bold enough to win thousands of people over to public transit and make transit accessible now.
Can you help TTCriders mobilize for the changes we need? Sign our petition right now or get involved in one of our upcoming campaign events. We’ll only convince politicians to make big changes like expanding free transit to high school students if they hear from thousands of people.
Put up a poster in your neighbourhood (November-February 2022)
Help us put up posters at your local transit stops to win lower fares and better service. When you sign up for the poster, we will follow up with you ( you can either print the posters yourself or we can have them delivered to you).
POSTER DAY: November 7
Join us in Scarborough- Rouge Park, Scarborough North, and Beaches-East York and help us put up posters at transit stops. Join our various outreach events happening in your neighbourhood.
Making phone calls to our supporters– November 4th & 11th, 12-2pm (online)
Help us connect with hundreds of transit riders and supporters. We need to mobilize transit riders to speak at the Nov 17th TTC Board meeting and to join us at the Nov 7th Poster Day.
Deputation training: How to speak at the TTC Board – November 15, 6pm (online)
You have an opportunity to make a difference. Attend our deputation training on November 15 to learn the "three ingredients" needed to tell your transit story and make an impact at the upcoming TTC Board meeting. Whether you want to speak at the TTC Board meeting or not, attend this training to connect with transit supporters. NOTE: The November 29th TTC Board meeting may focus on potential service cuts. The fare policy debate is postponed to February 2022.
Speak at the November 29 TTC Board meeting about potential service cuts (rescheduled from Nov 17th)
