Toronto has spent years dealing with the consequences of underfunded public transit. Aging infrastructure, delayed repairs and subway slow zones have all placed pressure on a system that millions of Torontonians rely on. These problems cannot be fixed overnight and require sustained investment in the workers, vehicles, tracks and infrastructure that keep transit moving.

Each year we give out two awards at our
Annual General Meeting, which will be held on May 26, 5.30pm - 8.30pm at 25 Cecil Street. The award
recognizes the hard work its recipients have made to create an affordable world
class public transit system. At least one of the wards goes to an unsung hero or
a volunteer in our community. Past recipients include Helen Liu from the Toronto
Chinese Seniors Association, Andy Byford, CEO from the TTC, and City Councillor
Joe Mihevc.
Please use this form below to nominate someone who deserves to be recognized before May 15. Nominations of unsung heroes are encouraged. Our board will review your suggestions and announce the award recipients at our AGM.
