Upcoming Public Transit Meetings

The following are a series of public meetings on public transit.  Please consider attending one of these events and have your say about the Mayor's new transit plan, the upcoming cuts to 41 bus routes, the City's agreement to use
the Presto smart card system, or other transit issues you may be interested in.

1) Transit Town Hall on Eglinton Avenue

Community Update on the Eglinton / Scarborough Crosstown LRT Line 21 St. Clements Avenue (north of Yonge and Eglinton) St. Clement's School, Auditorium

Tuesday, April 26 - 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This meeting is for members of the community to learn more about the Crosstown, which will provide rapid underground transit across the Eglinton corridor, linking subway lines and replacing the Scarborough RT with modern, reliable service.

The update will be provided by the TTC and Metrolinx, followed by a moderated Q&A session. This event is brought to the community by Councillors Josh Colle, Josh Matlow, Joe Mihevc, John Parker, Jaye Robinson, and TTC Chair,Karen Stintz.

2) Metrolinx Board Meeting

20 Bay St., 6th Floor, Executive Boardroom Starting at 8:30 am

Of particular interest to TTCriders is the "Toronto Update" (PDF) agenda item where the Metrolinx board will be hearing more details of the new Transit plan agreed to by Mayor Ford and Premier McGuinty.
Unfortunately, members of the public are not allowed to address the board. If you would like to communicate with Metrolinx on the revised transit plan you can do so through the "Contact Us" of their website.

3) TTC Public Meeting May 11th

Toronto City Hall, Committee Room # 2 The meeting starts at 1:00pm with public Deputations scheduled to start at 2:00pm The agenda for this meeting is not yet public. It should be posted here at least 48 hour prior to the start of the meeting. If you would like to address the Transit Commissioners, you can register to speak for 5:00 minutes by calling 416-393-3698 or via email at [email protected].
