Call your MPP to Stop Ford's Transit Delays

Premier Ford is tearing up our city's transit plans and scrapping the Eglinton East and Waterfront LRTs.

The province intends to send the Relief Line back to the drawing board and use as-yet unknown technology, even though the station

locations for the Relief Line have already gone through an assessment process and millions have been spent on moving the project forward.

We can't afford more delays to these critical lines. But Bill 107 gives the provincial government control over what transit gets built in Toronto. Read more analysis of Bill 107 here

The provincial budget also cut $1.1 billion to the TTC over the next 10 years.

TAKE ACTION!

Call your MPP and sign up to volunteer to stop the delays and funding cuts!

SAMPLE PHONE SCRIPT: Hello, my name is ____ and I live in ____ [name of your riding]. I strongly oppose Bill 107 and your plans to scrap the Eglinton East and Waterfront LRT, delay the Relief Line, and open the door to transit privatization. I urge you to fund transit properly, not cut $1.1 billion from the TTC and take over Toronto's transit system.

📸 Rally to Open the Crosstown

On February 19, 2025, TTCriders held the Rally to Open the Crosstown at Yonge and Eglinton to call for answers about the Eglinton Crosstown and Finch West LRT projects. Promised opening dates for the LRTs have come and gone, while transit costs have skyrocketed under Metrolinx. Transit riders are looking for answers and credible opening dates for the Eglinton Crosstown and Finch West LRTs.
TTCriders asked every party to invest in running TTC service and new LRTs with a 50% operating subsidy for local transit systems, and to give the TTC back control over running Toronto transit, to keep costs down and increase accountability.
