When the news leaked out that Metrolinx had been planning to charge over $25 for a trip on the new Union-Pearson express train, airport workers and public transit users were outraged. Any investment of public dollars should go towards supporting good green jobs for Ontarians. Government investments into public transit should offer Ontarians, and Torontonians, the possibility of meaningful, well-paid work. Good jobs help build a brighter future for our province.
TTCriders is a grassroots transit advocacy organization that gives Torontonians who use the TTC a voice. It emerged as a response to the tens of thousands of transit users who said that they want better transit in Toronto.

It often seems like there’s no shortage of complaints when it comes to the TTC: overcrowded trips, frequently dicey service, and ever-increasing fares. But at least most of us are able to afford a ride.
Thanks to your emails, calls, letters, and tweets, 35 city councillors voted on Tuesday, July 8th to support the planning of a low-income pass. This is a great victory!
