Don't let council cancel the Sheppard LRT on December 2nd

The Sheppard East Light Rapid Transit (Sheppard LRT) project is a planned light rail train service that would run from the subway platform at Don Mills Station to Morningside Avenue in Scarborough, with local stops in between.

We're calling on Toronto City Council to connect our under served neighbourhoods by building the Sheppard LRT now!

Sheppard-Map

We support a rapid transit network of subways, LRTs and dedicated bus lanes in Scarborough. However, rapid transit along Sheppard must serve residents in our outer neighbourhoods who are currently under served by the existing bus system. With twenty six stops, the Sheppard LRT is best suited for this purpose and it will not incur any further delays. The decision of whether or not to build a subway along Sheppard must not interfere with this goal.

Call your councillor at 311. Tell them to build the Sheppard LRT now!
