Our transit system needs $178 million just to maintain current
service levels for next year, and City Hall just slapped the TTC
with a 2.6 per cent budget cut.

Fare hikes and service cuts are coming. Yes, we could be paying more for poorer service next year. Ridership is already dropping. This is only going to make it worse.
