"Safety must be the TTC’s top priority. Every rider should feel safe, whether commuting to work, attending school, or accessing essential services.
I support increased visibility of TTC staff and transit enforcement, improved station maintenance and lighting, stronger mental health and community support partnerships, and zero tolerance for violence, harassment, and vandalism.
Safety is particularly important for seniors, women, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable riders. A safe TTC is a more accessible and reliable TTC, and I will advocate for the investments needed to ensure riders feel secure throughout the transit system."
