“My time at TTCriders as a student intern has been a great experience! In three months, I was able to fully immerse myself in the advocacy work of the organization plus connect with other members and volunteers. I had the opportunity to participate in Transit Story Circles as a note-taker, co-facilitate training, participate in multiple phone banks, and even MC at TTCriders’ Transit Organizer School graduation. More than that, I was supported in launching an Instagram Live series to promote the Transit Story Circles. At TTCriders, your unique talents and abilities are celebrated. With a diverse group of volunteers and members, you will be able to immerse yourself into the work the organization is doing, finding support and encouragement from every corner! My time here has helped me further refine my research, public speaking, and social media skills along with developing my networking and organizing capabilities. I would recommend TTCriders to any individual interested in being a part of the movement to win better public transit for Torontonians!” – Trishanna Francis, University of Guelph-Humber, Class of 2021
“I am so grateful for the experience I had working with TTCriders. This organization embraced me with open arms, and they have taught me so much. I got to enhance my community outreach skills, work on social media content, and much more and there are many opportunities to learn and grow in areas of your interest. Overall, my time with TTCriders was very rewarding, and I would recommend working with them if you are interested in community work and have a passion for advocacy.” — Marissa, Former Placement Student, 2021
