Suspended from Wheel Trans? Read this!

Have you been suspended from using the Wheel-Trans Ride Line or MyWheel-Trans online booking website?

Wheel-Trans policy is to suspend accounts after 12 months of inactivity (not booking a ride for a year).

After the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic, this was extended by an extra 12 months because people were staying home. But now some people who have recently tried booking a ride report that their account has been suspended. When they call Customer Service, some have had their accounts reactivated temporarily, but others have been told they have 60 days or another length of time to reapply.

The TTC should...

  1. Communicate what is happening to the public by posting clear information on the MyWheel-Trans website about what the current policy is. Decisions about who gets their Wheel-Trans service reactivated should not be made by individual customer service representatives.
  2. Extend the grace period for when accounts get deactivated. Wheel-Trans users should not be penalized for staying home during the Covid-19 pandemic.

📸 Rally to Open the Crosstown

On February 19, 2025, TTCriders held the Rally to Open the Crosstown at Yonge and Eglinton to call for answers about the Eglinton Crosstown and Finch West LRT projects. Promised opening dates for the LRTs have come and gone, while transit costs have skyrocketed under Metrolinx. Transit riders are looking for answers and credible opening dates for the Eglinton Crosstown and Finch West LRTs.
TTCriders asked every party to invest in running TTC service and new LRTs with a 50% operating subsidy for local transit systems, and to give the TTC back control over running Toronto transit, to keep costs down and increase accountability.
