Speak up for Scarborough Transit

The Scarborough RT (Line 3) will close in Fall 2023. Scarborough transit riders will be taking slower replacement buses for at least 7 years until the Scarborough Subway Extension is complete. Commutes will get 15 minutes longer in each direction. Plus, the TTC has reduced service due to budget cuts.

Transit users convinced the TTC to convert the RT rail corridor into an off-street busway, so replacement shuttle buses don’t get stuck in traffic - but the busway has not been fully funded. On May 2, 2023, City Councillors will meet to finalize plans for the replacement bus service for Line 3.

The good news is that bus-only lanes on the street are being recommended for installation in November 2023.
