Last October TTCriders held its founding meeting. Dozens of transit users, activists, and volunteers gathered at North York Civic Centre and committed to improving transit in Toronto by helping TTCriders become a fully fledged transit advocacy organization. That initial meeting set the stage for some extraordinary growth in the last year.

TTCriders now has a volunteer caretaker steering committee that sustains and grows the organization. We’ve also established an external affairs committee that is responsible for leading our campaigns. TTCriders has established the essential organizational machinery that will make us an effective advocate for better transit in Toronto.

We’ve come along way but, given the state of transit we still have a great deal more to accomplish.

  • Want better transit?
  • Want to ensure the Transit users have a voice?
Sign up to become a TTCriders member today!

You have four different membership rates to choose from. All members are equal regardless of your financial contribution. Your membership will last one year from the date you sign-up.

As a TTCriders member you will have the right to:

  • Self-identify as a member
  • Give deputations on behalf of TTCriders at City Hall
  • Attend and vote at TTCriders Annual General Meetings
  • Apply to sit on all TTCriders committees and groups
  • Help design and coordinate key transit campaigns and policy initiatives
We believe a fee-based membership is a necessary step in sustaining our efforts and in keeping our organization moving forward.

All membership fees go towards helping TTCriders organize and implement campaigns, underake ward and neighbourhood level advocacy and engage with key decision makers at Toronto City Hall, Queens Park and the Toronto Transit Commission.

Letter & Survey: TTC must exchange expired tokens and tickets

Do you still have TTC tokens or paper senior/student tickets or day passes? The TTC has announced that they will stop accepting TTC tokens and paper tickets after December 31, 2024. But the TTC will not be issuing exchanges. This is unfair to people who have saved up tokens and tickets, especially low-income seniors. Gift cards and permanent stamps never expire --  why are transit fares any different?
