"Compassion and enforcement are not opposites. I support expanding trained crisis response for mental-health emergencies, but when someone presents an immediate danger to riders, TTC staff and police must be able to act. Safety requires prevention, treatment, lighting, staffing, shelter and enforcement when necessary. I strongly support platform edge doors and getting people sleeping on transit into safe, lawful shelter, supportive housing and treatment pathways. The TTC must be safe for everyone. "
