Hard Parmar

"Everyone should feel safe using the TTC, whether they are commuting to work, travelling to school, or returning home late at night. I support a balanced approach that combines visible staff presence, faster response to serious incidents, better lighting and station design, and stronger coordination between the TTC, emergency services, and community-based mental health and outreach teams.

Safety also means protecting TTC operators and frontline workers, maintaining clean and well-monitored stations and vehicles, and ensuring riders know how to quickly report concerns. I believe safety initiatives should be regularly reviewed using clear data so that resources are directed where they are most needed while keeping the TTC welcoming and accessible for everyone."
