Telling Your Transit Story

Our personal stories have the power to influence decision-makers. As transit riders, we face long wait times, overcrowding, and expensive fares on a daily basis and that has a real negative impact on our health and well-being.

The 2019 city budget process is an opportunity for us to share these stories with our City Councillors by making a deputation. Through your deputation you can tell them why good transit is important to you and why our transit system needs to be fairly funded.

At this training we will craft 3-5 minute narratives using our personal stories to highlight key issues in the TTC budget. We will share tips and examples, practice together, and share feedback. And if you can't make it to a budget meeting in person, we'll record a video or collect your written statement to submit.
