I support keeping day-to-day TTC decisions accountable to Toronto residents and the City. At the same time, Toronto cannot reasonably carry the full financial burden of a transit system that is essential to the regional economy. I would advocate strongly for predictable provincial and federal operating and capital support. Outside funding should help improve service, reliability and state of good repair without requiring riders to absorb the cost through repeated fare increases.
