Mihaela Andrei

I have spent years as Board President responsible for a residential community of more than 1285 households, and accessibility is not abstract to me. It is a ramp that is actually cleared, a sign someone can read without already knowing where they are going, and a ride that shows up when a person needs to get to their medical appointment.
Snow clearing at stops is the one I would flag as most neglected. A curbside snow pile turns an accessible stop into an impassable one, and in this ward, with a large seniors population and long stretches of Lake Shore exposed to lake-effect weather, it happens every winter. Clearing the road but not the stop is a decision to serve drivers and abandon riders, and it should be measured and reported like any other service standard.
Wayfinding and Wheel-Trans both deserve full funding rather than the perpetual pilot treatment.
