"Parkdale High-Park needs a TTC that is safe, reliable, affordable and accessible.

As our city grows, transit investment must keep pace. I will listen to riders, work constructively with communities and governments, and focus on practical improvements that make everyday trips safer, faster and more dependable."

"I support continued investment in a frequent, reliable, affordable, accessible and safe TTC—so everyone in Parkdale–High Park has the freedom and opportunity to thrive.

TTC is fundamental to Ward 4, with five subway stations, four streetcar routes and 15+ bus routes. About 37% of households don’t own a car, but transit isn’t only for people without cars: many residents want a reliable, affordable alternative to driving. Making that choice easier is essential to reducing transportation emissions.

Affordability, reliability and safety all matter to rebuilding trust and ridership. Platform Doors’ data identifies Ward 4 as having the highest number of serious track-level incidents.. Safety also means ensuring riders experience the system as fair and welcoming. The TTC’s racial equity assessment found significant over-representation of Black and Indigenous riders in enforcement incidents.

Having lived in Parkdale–High Park for almost two decades, served as a TDSB Trustee for nearly four years, and as a TTC rider myself,  I understand how deeply transportation connects to daily life and opportunity. For many residents TTC is how they get to work and school, access health care and community services, visit family and friends, and participate in neighbourhood life."

"Toronto has so much potential to be a true world-class city, and that starts with having world-class transit. For years, poor decisions and chronic underfunding of our transit system have left riders facing rising costs, unacceptable delays, and service disruptions in a city that is far too congested. We can't change past missteps, but we can change where we go from here. We just want a transit system that is safe, affordable, and reliable. That means having a leader who listens to the hundreds of thousands of riders and stands up for the sustained funding our system needs. It’s time we get Toronto moving."

- Bridget Ogundipe

"I am a lifelong transit user. I have lived directly on the Danforth, Eglinton and Bloor at different times in my life. My mom and I have never owned a car. I deeply understand all TTC services as an everyday user, and commit to making a more affordable, accessible, reliable and safer TTC a priority in my time as councillor."
