Toronto’s public transit system is publicly owned, controlled and run. Let's keep it that way.

At our last Campaigns Committee meeting, we voted to endorse Keep Transit Public, a transit worker led campaign designed to promote better transit service to citizens and maintain sustainable, living-wage paying jobs in Toronto. This endorsement is in line with a core value that Toronto’s public transit system must remain publicly owned, controlled and run. Transit that is built and run publicly is usually cheaper, more likely to provide good service across the city, and is more accountable to riders. The TTC is already the most efficient in North America.
