On May 31st, City Hall will vote on a Low Income Pass. We've been waiting all year for an opportunity to 'speak up' for lower TTC fares and we need to get active and get ready.

In preparation for the vote at City Hall, on Thursday, May 12th, we are hosting a Civic Engagement Training Workshop in Scarborough at Scarborough Village Recreation Centre, 3600 Kingston Road (Kingston and Markham) from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. where you can:

Call or Email your City Councillor today and tell them we need more, better transit, not less!

TTCriders from across Toronto braved 2011’s first official “Snow Day” on February 2nd to address their concerns about transit service to the TTC. So many transit riders attended that an overflow room had to be opened. The meeting started just after 1:00pm and didn’t wrap up until after 10:00pm -- by all accounts the longest and most-attended meeting in the Toronto Transit Commission’s history!

Jack Lakey, The Fixer at the Toronto Star wants to hear from TTC employees on ways in improve our public transit system.

Over the past week TTC customer service has been in the news quite a bit. Whether comments from the President of Transit Union Local 113 Bob Kinnear or the General Manager Gary Webster the situation is emotional to say the least. With a lot of negative press recently the TTC did have some good news when announcing their 2009 budget this past week as well as the anticipation of an announcement of who will be part of the Customer Service Advisory Panel.
