Transit advocacy group, TTCriders has released a video showing how the new UP Express trains put communities in peril, on the day of the official launch of the service.
CP24 asked TTCriders to comment on the latest announcement by the Ontario Government on its plans to alleviate traffic during the PAN AM Games.

You're invited to a planning meeting to discuss and decide the next steps of our campaign to make sure the Union Pearson train is affordable, runs clean trains, and has more stops. The line is set to open in a few months, and the PAN AM games is this Summer. In other words this is a golden opportunity to do outreach and engage the community to achieve positive change.
On December 11, the Province and Metrolinx approved a very expensive fare structure for Toronto's new train, which will run from Union Station to Pearson Airport and back 400 times a day.
