What happened when we went to a public meeting with Transport Minister Del Duca?

TTCriders attended a  packed Town Hall with Ontario Minister of Transportation Steven Del Duca. Our transit minister has refused to meet with us, despite repeated requests.

A key issue that many attendees present brought up was the issue of the controversial Union Pearson Express train, which is running virtually empty at just 12% capacity.  That comes as no surprise because it costs $27.50 to board the train one way.

We're hosting a Workshop at the Toronto Peoples Social Forum!

TTCriders has a workshop at 2pm, this Saturday, July 11th at the Toronto Peoples Social Forum (George Vari Engineering and Computing Center at Ryerson University). Come join us to discuss how Organizing can solve Toronto's transit logjam.  Learn about the work we do and how it connects to issues of transit justice and about making Toronto a more liveable city.

Naomi Klein keynoted our AGM. Here's what she said about transit activism and climate change.

What an incredible evening it was at the TTCriders' Annual General Meeting at the Steelworker's Hall in Toronto.   Over one hundred people gathered not only to hear journalist and activist Naomi Klein speak about the importance of transit in Toronto and how to get involved and be a great transit advocate.
